Livi Game

Felt like the 0-0 we had with Dundee United we had last season just after McBeth signed.

At least then we had a major issue keeping the ball put of the net.

That was another turgid watch. Neither keeper had much to do.

The crowds will drop with that level of 'entertainment' on view.

First half was fine without being brilliant to watch. Second half was awful, a game devoid of quality.

Another week where we have a completely new formation. Players don’t seem to know what the tactics are and I can’t blame them.

Signing Crawford just seems stranger every week, a complete nothing of a player. The fact that Turner is shoehorned on the wing, where we know he’s ineffective, to accommodate Crawford is not far off a sackable offence in itself.

To put Stanway on at right wing with twin wingers on the bench was criminal. Doolan had no intention of winning that game against a very poor Livi team.

I wasn’t sure about replacing him but I don’t think he knows how to fix this, his team and tactics are so uninspiring.

I’ve been critical of Fitzy but he was basically a one man attack today.

That team won’t get a sniff of promotion currently.

I agree what others have said about Crawford. I can't quite explain it in simple terms, but I actually found Doolan's signing of him almost cowardly. It's so unimaginative in almost every possible way. A player who doesn't add anything different to the squad - but as soon as his contract wound down at Morton, it was almost a foregone conclusion he'd end up here. I can think that doolan thought he'd be a Doherty like personality.

So who had 4-1-3-2 on the formation lottery? Thought it was shaping up to be a 4-4-2 diamond but Crawford played square of the other two, with McBeth in front of defence.

I said last week thaf Dools was clutching at straws and that continued today. Another 90 minutes for the captain and wee Fatzy, another 90 minutes of very little produce from either.

Positives were we looked good at the back again, I thought Ashcroft and Milne were out best players. McBeth was OK and O'Reilly was steady again.

However, six goals in eight league games is pathetic, especially given the talent we have in the squad. There is obviously a long way to go, but a successful season looking very unlikely.

700 down from the crowd v Dunfermline. No wonder.
