Livi Game

It's a must win.  I know the starting XI I want to put out but half are injured so let's give it a go.

4-2-3-1

Roberts

Megwa O'Reilly McBeth Milne

Turner Bannigan (I don't care I love the man)

Chalmers Smith (is he a #10?) Fitzpatrixk

Graham (He has not been getting the service)

That back 4 and GK is the match of any defence in our league.

Bannigan can shield the defence and keep it safe.  Turner there for assists.  It's the wings I worry about most and #10 supporting Graham.

I quite like that team. I might have preferred Stanway, but I do appreciate what Bannigan can bring.

Just 2 questions:

  • If Scott Robinson is fully fit (a big question I know), would he not be our best Number 10? Smith is unproven there and I wonder if he could bring the same physical edge as Robinson, which might be particularly necessary against Livi, who tend to have big strong units in central defence.
  • I am really hoping that Chalmers begins to fire, but I think that he may have to work his way back in by electric performances from the bench rather than as a starter. Could Ablade come in from the right, at times keeping the width, at other times being more of a partner to Graham, but running in behind rather than back to goal?

Ian McCall would still be here if it wasn't for the Women's team and an obscure Portuguese long distance runner from 40 years ago, imo.

Oops wrong thread.

1 - 0 Thistle in an utter shit-fest.

No it isn’t. Must win or what ?

If we lose it changes nothing. Promotion will still be the target, we will all still be Thistle supporters, JJ will still be waffling on about football comities and global warming will still be a concern.
It would be a good game to win, but please don’t overhype things with pointless cliches.

If we lose it indeed changes nothing - which is a problem!

We need to urgently see change, an improvement in performance, chances created and goals scored and points collected. If that doesn’t happen over the next 3 games we’ve got a real problem.

Defeat tomorrow but 6 points over those 3 games is better than two draws and a win, so I agree it’s not must win tomorrow but Doolan HAS to demonstrate a turn around THIS month.

Pointless cliches bad, pointless matches worse!

(Is that quiz game "Pointless" still on tv? I only saw it a few times, but quite enjoyed it.)

Yes, pointless still on tv. Alexander Armstrong still presents the show. Richard Osman who was the original co-presenter for a number of years is now a best selling author and now along with many others is a guest co-presenter.
