The Arch
Middlesborough's Stephen McManus is out of contract in July. He's been out on loan to Bristol City and may not get a new deal. IIRC he's a Jags supporter. Could we afford him? No
policemans whistle
Rumours on Saturday were, 2 former Jags approached to return and one player not previously mentioned, interesting Birmingham.
The Cup
Rumours on Saturday were, 2 former Jags approached to return and one player not previously mentioned, interesting Birmingham. Harkins? I can't think of any other former player that would be better than what we have.
Jaggernaut
Harkins? I can't think of any other former player that would be better than what we have. Not better than, but Tuffey? Is Scott Boyd still under contract at Ross County?

Mediocre Pundit
Harkins and Tuffers back would be a good start. Then priority, assuming we hold on to what we have, would be a 20 goal striker...
Lindau
Rumours on Saturday were, 2 former Jags approached to return and one player not previously mentioned, interesting Birmingham. Cairney after a great start looks to have fallen out of favour at Hibs but would still be under contract so I cant see us forking out cash for him. Deffo need another goalie...can see Scully being let go, and we need another two strikers Edited May 1, 2013 by Lindau

Might they be willing simply to off-load him, or maybe look for a swap deal? I thought Cairney was absolutely brilliant for us last season, but not sure if I'd be willing for us to part with a current squad member in a straight swap. Third Lanark
Reading policemans whistles post again it says approached - so I guess they could be asked and said no. For some reason I dont think it will be Tuffey and maybe Daniels or someone because they would be cheaper

Who cares who he supported as a boy ! He's a man now, a professional footballer who has to give his best for whoever employs him. In my opinion he would be a first class signing, but I doubt that I will see it !

The Sunnylaw Jag
Ex- Thistle player? - Paddy Boyle had a good season at Gateshead I believe, so it could be him. Also what about David Clarkson ( ex-Motherwell) who I know has been injured but he was quite a promising striker at one point. Also I always liked Stephen Pearson too. ThickAsThieves
Livingston have announced six first-team players are leaving: Anthony Andreu. Craig Barr. Callum Booth. Liam Fox. Andrew McNeil. Jesus Garcia Tena. I think I'd take the Spanish man.

Jesus Garcia Tena. I think I'd take the Spanish man. Agreed. Also good news on the contract offers. Is Doolan definitely away then? I just hope that we don't fall into the trap of offering the players SPL wages on long contracts when there is a danger of being relegated in a year's time. I'd rather they went for nothing than we risk financial difficulties.
Dark Passenger
Would it be possible to have a separate thread where reported transfer targets are listed, rather than an entirely speculative one where we have to wade through the Stephen McManus-type BS to get the real nuggets? Third Lanark
i sincerely hope not... Same here but unfortunately if Dundee United and Kilmarnock are both interested they can pay far more than us
