It must be rather difficult to come up with an acceptable top every year given you have to use a kit manufacture's template. For the more traditionalist amongst us, and I'd number myself as one I suppose we'd always want hoops or secondly stripes. Both commercially and in practice I doubt that would be possible so I think a sort of three year cycle of stripes, hoops and something else would be acceptable. The last few kits had too much red in it, so it is good to see black shorts and socks back. The away kit also looks pretty cool, and should go down okay when it is released.
