fenski 49 Report post Posted June 18, 2020 Great to see young Lewis getting to the shortlist for Championship forward of the year! I know it's been a difficult time - just a little ray of sunshine in the darkness... https://spfl.co.uk/news/ladbrokes-championship-team-of-the-season-forwar

Unless he's spectacularly lacking in self-awareness, I suspect that knowing you've been voted as top forward as a joke is not likely to be good for confidence. It may be useful for his CV if he leaves the Scottish game though. Edited June 20, 2020 by Duke Gekantawa
Rid Skwerr 340 Report post Posted June 19, 2020 As a small getitupye, I just voted for our player. Am I being paranoid, or does the voting page being headed by a large picture of Shankland not seem like an attempt to influence the voting? Should the illustration for the competition not be a neutral picture of, say, a goal net?
CCjag 116 Report post Posted June 19, 2020 (edited) Less than 30 mins voting time to go. and Mansell still in pole position. Looks like a winner.......................................unless of course late and changed votes are allowed. But that could never happen with the SPFL surely, not while under the guidance of a man nominated for a place on UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee! lady-isobel-barnett 3,631 Report post Posted June 19, 2020 To be truly honest I wish this poll had never occurred. It's just going to make McCall's job of fending off clubs south of the border and throughout Europe all the harder. Fingers crossed we can hold onto the lad.

AlgarveJag 227 Report post Posted June 20, 2020 Is it at all possible that the SPFLs ability to stage a vote has once again been exposed for the shower that they are. Is it just a coincidence that the Mansell button was next to a picture of Stephen Dobbie? Well done Lewis anyway, you had a better ‘goals per minutes played’ than Shankland. For the avoidance of doubt he didn’t. Mansell played about 420 minutes of Championship football in season 2019-20 and scored 1 goal. Wankland averaged 96 minutes per goal for his 24 from 26 games return.
