CCjag
Shame for Downdee Utd fans who were just getting over their fury at Mansell beating Shankland in the SPFL Championship striker race! One's heart bleeds!
Paolo
Things seem to be happening quickly tonight with this appointment , I hope there's something to this, maybe an announcement on League reconstruction, can imagine there's phones been going red hot over the weekend, maybe SPFL have come to their senses, hopefully its Thistle and Hearts stay where we are, and its reconstruction. jags on tour
He’s going back to the club he loves and getting paid more (and will hopefully make them even worse and get them relegated), just like McCall! The league reconstruction is never going to happen.

Reading an article reflecting the views of David Winnie his views suggest we have a 50-50 chance of winning but our biggest hurdle is it seens getting the judge to agree that this matter should be a matter for the Law and not just left to football (SPFL & SFA)! Last time we went to court we didn't get past this hurdle and I fear the same will happen again. Scottish Courts do not like adjudicating on sporting matters! A view which I feel is a denial of justice but there it is! If by some chance we do get past this hurdle then there may well be some potential for settlement but doubt it will involve reconstruction! Oh best of luck to Robbie Nelson. Should generate a lot of 'hate" from Dubdee Utd fans for him and Hearts in addition to that coming our way! Dick Dastardly
Now wouldn't it be the icing on the cake if Hearts were to use their compensation to buy Shankland.

I'd go along with that to a degree. The downside tho' could mean that United would then be in a much stronger position to fund a move for Mansell. 1

That's not quite right. He said on Sportsound that Hearts and Thistle's prospects were "no better than 50-50".
West of Scotland
I seem to recall visiting Tynecastle when someone had commissioned a plane flyover with a banner saying "Neilson Out", or something similar. But then the reasons he gave for that were immediately undermined. As the presenter pointed out, they couldn't base a claim on not getting back up at the first attempt because that's within Hearts' own control on the football pitch, not something for which the SPFL is responsible. lady-isobel-barnett
Could easily have been us losing Neilson to the Jambos. If yon lad Laszlo had just managed to hing on at Tannadice for another week or so we'd have missed out on Caldwell. He'd most likely have been no Messiah but i doubt under Neilson we'd ever have plunged so low as we did. Firstly he had watched us on numerous occasions prior to Archie's sacking so he knew what was what and secondly, well he wasn't Gary Caldwell.

He falls into the same bracket as GC , ie a person who, no matter the clear evidence showing the opposite to be true, believes he is a talented football manager with something to offer. Delusional in the extreme, but you know what , some other Board will soon fall for their convincing Power -point presentations ; another contract will be agreed and another Football Club will be dragged down and shackled with the disappointments that these 2 chancers bring to bear. p. JAGSMAN1968
from Beeb site "Malky Mackay is ready to take a six-figure pay cut on his £250,000 annual salary as Scottish FA performance director to return to management with Dundee United." crazy!

What in the name of all that is holy does this guy do for 250,000 a year? Scottish football doesn't half spunk a lot of money away on total mediocrity.
