No match thread, so may as well start one.

We played them in a televised game this time last year and romped home 5-1 winners. Don't think it will be as easy this time and also don't see it being as free-flowing a game. A tight Thistle win would certainly be the upper end of my expectations.

No absence worries besides Ngwenya. Suspect Bannigan will come back in - Doolan doesn't often tend to drop players due to form, but will usually bring trusted senior players back in after an injury spell. Of the midfield 3, I hope Stanway for one keeps his place.  Pushing McInroy further up and benching Alston?

Stating the obvious but if we can win tomorrow we will be 4 points adrift of Dundee Utd (who will have a game in hand) and 9 points adrift of Raith Rovers.

Great results tonight for Queens and especially Ayr  who played the second half with 10 men but still managed to score 3 goals.

If we can keep McKay (striker) quiet we can win this game.

I'd like to see Adeloye getting a run.

Banzo’s been on the bench the last 2 games after being dropped. I don’t think he was injured. So unless Dools decides to change a winning team I’d be surprised to see him start

You could argue Ayr were probably stronger with ten men given it was McGinty who was sent off.

Onto today the fake Jags on a 2 game losing streak after new manager bounce over.  Agree with others that he will prob bring Bannigan back but hopefully will go again with last weeks starting 11.  Any 3 points please as Xmas pressie and set up Dundee Utd on Friday.

Not sure what to expect today. No reason to suppose we won't score a few goals. At the same time we're likely to leave the defence over exposed. Then again just as oppositions know how to exploit our main weakness we are at least getting used to our deep defending.

With Thistle it is easy. Expect the unexpected.

Dundee v Aberdeen game called off at ten past two.....absolutely no regard for fans that travel to games.

Even the home fans will be on their way at that time, but there's snow on the ground in Aberdeen and the surrounding area and the sheep worriers will have had a difficult trip to get to Dundee.
