exiledjag
Head scratching is correct. With this 11 it could be any formation! I'll keep it simple and go for 3-5-2; or 4-1-3-2 or ....... think I'll just give up. I only hope Doolan and especially the players know what formation they are supposed to be playing!! elevenone
maybe they will all just race out of tunnel and fight for positions on pitch? usually worked for us when playing at school apart from that infamous 8-0 defeat to Victoria Drive.
jagfox
I suppose it's a good thing we can't work it out, then it means McPake won't have a clue either 😆
thornwoodjag
Think it’s officially 3-4-2-1. Aidan n Ablade behind Graham. Megwa n Milne on the wings

javeajag
Poor performance in a poor game of football …..the formation is nuts as the gap between defence and midfield is often 30 yds so muirhead and Macbeth punt it long to no effect no chances, no shots on target zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Garscube Road End 2
0-0. Couldn't hit a coo's arse with a banjo.

jagfox
Obviously happy with the win but not sure about that formation at all as we created very little up until the later subs. What is the point in having three forwards when they are half the width of the pitch apart? Just as well there was a can of Magners in goal for Pars or we might not have even won. Kanayo with a very good debut.
ChiThistle
What impressed me most about Megwa is that he slotted in seamlessly. You wouldn’t have guessed it was his first game in red & yellow. But the team as a whole just doesn’t flow right now. It’s so weird.
MarciaBlaine
Truly horrible refereeing performance. Thought everybody was there to see him and did his best to kill the game. We were the better team but hardly great. Fitzy was awful! eta: still absolutely delighted to get the win, mind! Something we rarely do: sneak a winner in a scrappy game where we've just about deserved on. Edited September 21 by MarciaBlaine
JAGSMAN1968
Yep, pretty awful game! BUT, I've seen us lose games like that many, many times!!
belfastjag
Three welcome points against really poor opposition. A few cracks papered over. How does he get ninety minutes?
Yellow & Redneck
I predicted in July that Graham wouldn't score double digits this season. At this rate, I'd be surprised if he gets 5.
eljaggo
Following it on the BBC website, and was more than half expecting a late Dunfermline goal. A win's a win however irrespective of how it was achieved, and good sized crowd as well.

He ran his guts out again today and on a couple of occasions was rightly beeling with Ablade and Fitzpatrick. That was unpleasant to watch, an ok performance if you’re looking to secure a point away from home. We’re strong in defence but remain unconvincing middle to front. Doolan is yet to get the best out of this squad. No doubt he’ll be gushing with positivity in his post match interview. My only hope is winning today somehow has a galvanising effect over the next few games.
Jagtastic
Graham is quickly becoming as frustrating to watch with the frequency of staying in offside positions as Gerry Britton was in his later days. I might have missed something, but what is going on with the bing? The scaffold was bad enough but at least brought advertising revenue. The black sheeting, bulk liquid containers, pallets and planks of wood look is next level embarrassing.
