Jaggernaut
Must admit when I saw the thread title "Whipping Boy" I feared the worst. Brilliant to read this thread and see how the game eventually panned out!
JAGSMAN1968
Just Back, Bus was Buzzin !!! great team effort tonight! fantastic work rate throughout team, especially well done to Nisbet - well done to Archie for keeping the faith! Tremendous goal from Edwards ( see what happens when you shoot for goal!!) Erskine amazing too, really getting back to full fitness. Might have another few goldies to celebrate! Cheers! lady-isobel-barnett
Both Booth and Osman looked far more composed tonight. Nisbet wasn't as isolated and interchanged well with Lawless and in particular, Erskine. Edwards energy helped greatly and scored an absolute cracker. Team in general were good bit more positive. Sadly it's got to be said we indulged in some blatant time wasting tonight, coupled with more than just sporadic episodes of gamesmanship. If I had the slightest inkling we were going to disgrace ourselves in such a flagrant way I'd have done a 360° at the Broxden Roundabout and pissed off home to watch the athletics.

stillresigned
Excellent result and second-half performance, which I for one will hold my hands up and admit I didn't see coming after a fairly desultory first 45 minutes. Nisbit certainly had his best game in a first XI shirt and seeemed to grow in stature immeasurably after doing brilliantly to win our penalty kick. It was a toss-up between Squiddy and him for MotM: after the scorn he received from many quarters following Saturday, I'd give it to the young fellow. On that subject, I have to hold my hand up and say that I was one of the nay-Sayers after Saturday and I'm glad to say tonight he proved me wrong.

Totally agree that what we witnessed at the end of the game in my opinion was " anti -football " disgusting to watch & a disgrace to the game. P.S. Thanks for the tips Mr Wright.

Lambies Lost Doo
The Times (not Evening) gave Nisbet 8 and described him as an "influential figure". Well played young man.
Dick Dastardly
For so many reasons, can we have Dunfermline in the next round please. I'd happily take home or away.
The Jukebox Rebel
That ten-man celebration in front of the faithful was heart-warming after Ryan's goal; familiar scenes at McDiarmid these days. 80 yard runs from Keown and Turnbull to join in the fun. javeajag
Just as we shouldn't get relegation depressed after Saturday we shouldn't over confident after last night .....plenty of work still be done It's highly possible we get beaten 4 or 5 on Friday but it's almost a meaningless fixture
Jaggernaut
Probably we'll score first then lose a couple of late goals. No, wait.... it's the other mob that we do that against..... or is it both....? 1-2 or 0-5 There's confidence for you!
MonehJags
I wish erskine would do that more like he did for the goal. When he runs at the defence is when he is at his best. Brilliant run and finish to boot. Unbelievable finish by edwards too.
Dick Dastardly
Or Livingston !!! (Hint) Think about who is NOT in the draw if we get Dunfermline. Much prefer that to Livi
Lenziejag
I am not sure I would want Livi, for 2 reasons. We have already played them this season and they almost beat us

He was very complimentary on St J's in house interview, he said that we deserved the win that Edwards' goal was a great one
