Experienced (35), leader on the park and can play a few positions. Don’t imagine we will get him though, County apparently favourites. Certainly experienced and not as ugly as Willo Flood. I’m in apart from the lure of the Dingwallian petro-chemical dollar. ETA: County seem to have plenty of bodies in midfield. Had a few drinks with his father earlier in the year and he gave me the impression that would be the case. Think his father lives in Strathpeffer and of course Cowie is from that area. Btw Cowie himself is a clean living guy so probably still has a fair time left in the game despite his age. .

Dick Dastardly
He sounds like the perfect foil for Doolan although I can see some saber rattling with the support

ThickAsThieves
Can't see Cowie joining us, as already stated he looks likely to join Ross County, but what about his Hearts teammate Ross Callachan? He's also been told he can leave, so would he be worth signing?

That has got to be the most ridiculous statement ever what world do you live ??? Patience is a virtue......once again we are well short of a full squad prior to the start of a season. Good feeling at the open day that’s nice after the poor performance 24 hours previously... what exactly was the good feeling “thank god it wasn’t raining “ This squad should be more than ready to go but is not ....still way short in many departments, up front, midfield and at the back. 2
Yellow & Redneck
Doubt any new players will be over the line by Saturday which is so bloody frustrating. Don't think any club in the division conducts its transfer activity as slowly and laboriously as us. At least we have targeted a loan striker who does seem to have a future in the game, and hopefully we are doing the same with a CDM (just not another loaner hopefully). Yes, but equally Jack Ross will probably thing Archie has a better record of improving players than Alloa might have so the day to day coaching might swing it back the other way, along with the assumption (and we all know it could be a flawed assumption!) that a striker would see more of the ball with us than playing for Alloa. Yellow & Redneck
I see Dundee have decided not to offer a contract to on-trial Croat, Stipe Plazibat, despite a goal and an assist in his last friendly. At 6ft 1" and a good scoring record in both Europe and Asia, he could be worth a look. Edited August 2, 2018 by Yellow & Redneck
Third Lanark
Somebody had posted here about us being linked with striker Ross Stewart of St Mirren. Someone on pie and bovril now saying that Ross County are signing him and Brian Graham. They certainly seem to have a fair few strikers in Dingwall, in fact a fair number of signings throughout their team.
