So have the management resigned themselves to another season in the championship or do they have other more short term targets?

Honestly that would be the smart thing to do - use the rest of this season to try bedding in some new signings for next season while trying to maintain a playoff spot.

"A number of Scottish Championship clubs are keen to bring in Josh McPake. Partick Thistle and his former side, Greenock Morton being two that are noted."

I remember him scoring 2 against us for QP when they beat us 4-0 at Firhill but nothing much apart from that.

As expected. A very poor signing.

His 'tea was out' when he (allegedly) failed to turn up for the reserve game against Hamilton a few weeks ago.

McGinlay heading back to Motherwell as well.

So all expected exits. The only question remaining is whether we strike a deal with Ayr on Dowds, don’t see him returning unless Adeloye was to leave.

Ayr have said Dowds is staying them till the end of the season

It will probably be helpful is someone other than Doolan picked the January signings.

How about McCall. He did sign Docherty, Tiffoney, Holt, Turner , Milne, McMillan and  Graham and brought back Lawless, Fitzpatrick and Muirhead.

Some really good players in there!

Was it not suggested over the summer that medical staff at clubs couldn’t sign him off with concerns over his heart?

Presumably we were paying little to none of the loanees' wages? Certainly I'd be surprised if we were paying Williamson, McGinley maybe less so.

So of the three departures it's only one wage freed but does create gaps for other additions nonetheless.

Not really clear about above - has Williamson left as well as McGinlay and McDonald?

More senior players you tend to pay around 50% maybe not as much, if anything for youth/ young players.

Then you get the likes of Dowds where its safe to say Ayr are paying the majority if not 100% of his wages.

Apparently we rejected the option to recall Anton last month.
