It’s a static QR code- just use a screenshot

That is a work around. Fanbase/PTFC need a real solution.

How do you get a screenshot on an android phone.

Once I am sent the screenshot, the  chances of me being able to remember where it is for 10 months isn’t high.

Even if youre struggling someone you know should be able to help.

What did you do for previous seasons out of interest? The previous ticket never went into the Apple Wallet at all (or it never did with me).

I had it on the app on my phone.

And can't you just use the fanbase app now? It's just a different app, and is available on both Android and iOS.

I'm a little confused at what is different with this arrangement. It seemed to me to be essentially identical to the previous arrangement, other than the provider and app have changed (and you can now add the ticket to your wallet if you want, which you couldn't before).

I always use a screenshot of a QR code for all concerts and football matches I attend. Plus my past Jags ST and Senior rail pass. I'm not the least bit tech savvy. The advantage of the screenshot is you can enlarge it if required and that often helps whoever is scanning it. Apologies if this is irrelevant but as I say I'm a tech novice.

Both tickets were sent to my nephew’s Fanbase wallet who has an android phone. (He didn’t have or want the app!). I have an iPhone. Apparently, you can’t share between wallets if one has android and one has apple. The issues are that this type of problem wasn’t thought about at the outset and we should both have been sent our tickets.
Looking forward, if the app is meant to allow us to buy tickets for our seats for cup games eg, it means that only he can do it, as I have nothing in my Fanbase wallet.

This isn't a problem.

There is never going to be a system that pleases everyone 100% but I am just hoping that we are selling as many as possible to give the manager as much support in what looks like being a very tight division.

It would be great as well if the Jags For Good guys were able to hit their target as quickly as possible as well:

Thank you. I've just done the screenshot, and my QR code has happily appeared in my photo library for future use (as my fellow non-techie LIB has mentioned in an earlier post). I have learned more IT skills in the course of this thread than in the previous decade.

Maybe the WeAreThistle IT consultancy could be a fundraiser for the club?

Solutions

1. Get the app

2. Share a screenshot

3. Get a physical card

I have the app. I even got an email from Fanbase telling me that I should see the tickets in my Fanbase wallet. PTFC sent them to my nephew.

We are still trying to “share a screenshot”.

Hopefully, the physical tickets will be sent.

As I said before, those aren’t solutions-those are work arounds

I'm glad you got sorted PtD. I'm no techie either, just passing on experience 😂👍

Out of interest, have you tried logging into your app using your Nephew’s credentials (assuming that he’ll tell you them)?

Im sorry but your nephew not using the app is totally illogical and is causing you and him needless hassle

He has it - he didn’t want it(just the physical ticket). But him having it makes no difference to being able to share the ticket between Fanbase wallets, because he has android and I have apple. That is the point of using Fanbase. To be able to use their platform - not stick a screenshot someplace else on your phone, right ?

The illogical bit is that PTFC have both our details, but they only sent the tickets to one - that’s the illogical bit and the bit that is causing the needless hassle.

I can remember the days when if I didn’t fancy an away game or if we weren’t playing- I would just go to another game locally - mainly Kilbowie and Boghead but also Shawfield or even Love Street on occasion (all grounds no more!).
No need for Apps or extensive technological planning - just pay at the gate with real money. Nowadays seems so unnecessarily complex imho.

You can buy tickets in advance for most other clubs in a couple of minutes.

Personally I find it much simpler going online and buying a ticket (even minutes before KO) than having to find a cash machine, often in a place I don’t know. I have never found it difficult to buy tickets for games (including away games and the odd random neutral game). Queues are typically much quicker for all-ticket (non-cash) gates, and therefore less chance of missing kick off
