There should be some comms on this, but I think the migration is currently happening. Part of the wait for STs was also to allow the Singing Section consultation, as the Singing Section would be marked up differently on Fanbase from the rest of the JLS if implemented.

Disclaimer and Apology..... but the "Singing Section" to me conjures up vasectomies underway accompanied by a tenor (or higher) male choir.

I blame the sake.

Thanks for that. Here's hoping it all goes well. How often is some new app lauded only to find out on its launch it's not been tested and falls flat?

In defence of this app, it has been introduced successfully at several other Clubs. I believe in the case of Raith Rovers, it coincided with significantly improved ticket sales because of ease of use compared to its predecessor.

I am a little puzzled by the references in the consultation to people having "seats" in the JLS. I had always understood JLS to be a free and easy sit or (much more often) stand where you want set up where no one was too concerned about having a particular seat (obviously if you want to have a guaranteed seat or collection of neighbouring seats (for all home league games at least) there is the option to go for a JHS season ticket instead). I appreciate that JLS season tickets do have a particular seat number assigned (presumably to keep a track of the total numbers of seats/places allocated). However, I have no idea where mine is, and it would never occur to me to go and seek it out and evict some other person from it. That's just part of the JLS vibe/deal. If some people want to gravitate to certain parts of the JLS and stand and sing particularly loudly and enthusiastically there, that is absolutely fine by me. Again, if that means changing my nominal and unvisited JLS seat number, then no problem at all.

The purpose of the consultation was really about formalising the expectation you've just articulated.

There's a (relatively small) number of fans who have season tickets in or adjacent to the affected area, and some of them do care about having a specific seat. So under the new policy it's made clear that if they absolutely do want to sit in that section, they do so in the full knowledge that it will be full of drums/people standing/megaphones/Wasiri Williams and, if they don't like that, they are nudged to buy a ST elsewhere in the JLS or in the JHS.

Fair enough!

Woodstock Jag, could you clarify whether or not the new app will allow ST holders to have first dibs on their current seat?

Unless I've missed something obvious (which is perfectly possible) that does not appear to have been confirmed?

I don't know, sorry!

Do you really want to sit next to Fred?

Really impressed with how easy renewal was there. Nice to have the pass in my phone wallet as well

Not sure if anyone will know the answer to this but I'm sure others will be in same boat. My season ticket is in Jackie Husband stand but I switch between this and JL depending on who I am going to game with. I've done this since JL became home end and have no issue in the past. Can anyone confirm this will still be the case?

Does it keep existing seat?

Just renewed. Very easy. Was asked to confirm my specific seat number, which was already on the system and suggested to me (although being a John Lambie Stander, I never actually go to the seat in question). Accordingly I am sure that you will have no problem keeping your existing seat, as long as you renew within the generous time frame allowed before unclaimed seats are opened up for general allocation.

Just reading the stuff on the OS. Does anyone know if you have to register with this new mob even if you just want to renew by phoning the club?

I would encourage you to register with them because it will make it a lot easier to compile the new list of beneficiaries for the PTFC Trust in the 2024-25 season.

Renewed with relative ease.  All clicked through nicely once I'd setup a new account with FanBase.

First impressions are that it's quite a bit smoother than the previous service.  And I like the ability to just add straight onto my Google wallet.

Just one question if anyone can help.  I also buy a season ticket for my 15 year old daughter.  I don't see an easy way (or any way) to transfer the e-ticket to her.  Is this because she has an under-16 ticket?

I also often buy tickets for others and would presume that I can transfer easily the same way we can on other apps (eg Warriors/ ticketmaster etc).

Nephew phoned to buy disabled and carer tickets. He was told physical card only and was charged extra £5. I got email saying tickets should be in my Fanbase wallet, but nothing there. Confusing and if physical cards only for disabled and carer - a bit off to charge for that, if not a bit discriminating.

Everyone gets charged for a physical card unless they choose to opt out AFAIK.

I certainly did and was happy to pay the extra.
