You can buy tickets in advance for most other clubs in a couple of minutes.

You pay for the convenience by supplying personal data to an organisation with which you have no other affiliation. Purely in commercial terms, that is a considerable supplement to the pay-at-the-gate price, even if you don't value your privacy.

Every time you use your phone, social media, maps, debit/credit cards you leave a trace.  Unfortunately privacy is rare.

Privacy is rare, but your personal data is protected in law. Commercial institutions such as football clubs are opening themselves up to additional duties to safeguard personal data and increasing their vulnerability.

If, let's say, Raith Rovers has its data hacked, Partick Thistle supporters with personal data exposed could pursue RR for financial compensation, involving legal costs too. By contrast, letting people buy tickets as 'guests' removes the responsibility for personal data and the need to protect it. It baffles me that clubs insist on exposing themselves like this.

Just to give the Jags For Good Season Ticket fundraiser a push:

Hopefully next week when the media team are back we will get an update on numbers of season tickets sold and a bigger push than recently on these as pay day approaches (who knows maybe even an interview with the manager).

1,500 mark passed in just about 3 weeks. After a brisk start it feels like it slowed down, no doubt due to some/a lot of fans being at the Euros. Hopefully, it will pick up in July again.

Granted the Euros effect but that feels very low.

Think we hit 2,000 in the first week of July last year eventually climbing to around 2,700. But our resident expert on such matters FT will hopefully be along soon to confirm… 👍

Still to reach end of month pay day for a lot of folk too. I'd expect we hit 2000 in due course.

Was at office today to get season ticket 👍one more to the tally required. 😁

In terms of how quickly we hit 1500 last season compared to this one we are a bit later but as the good lady has pointed out last season we had the call to arms and no big competition with the national side playing in a tournament. I would expect the pace to pick up now given it is nearly pay day and we are seeing players getting signed up.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was stated in the commentary for the Glenafton game yesterday that we are nearly at 2,000 sold so we are definitely behind the rate from last season but we did not have the Euros last season and the discovery of a financial disaster concentrated minds. It would be great if we could pick the pace up now as it does help the manager in trying to get players in now rather than holding on until mid August.

Also, the Jags for Good guys are nearly halfway to their target:

In the interview with the manager for tomorrow's game it was stated by the interviewer we had gone past 2,000 season tickets - it would be good to have this put out on the website and hopefully we will get to 3,000 by the time of the Morton game. It all helps the manager finalising his squad as well.

Purchased my physical card online two weeks ago. Still not received.

I went into the office on Monday as i thought i would be given a physical ticket there, they don't have them, but was told it would be sent out before the Morton game. I also bought my tickets for our home league cup games, as i don't have a smartphone they printed the league cup tickets for me. No mention of tickets being sold at the portacabin at the back of JHS on game day, are we not doing this now? The people in the office were very helpful.

Contacted office at lunch time and was assured all physical tickets will be sent out prior to the league opener by third party.

It was clear that was the case in the instructions when season tickets went on sale:

"Cards will be produced by Fanbase and delivered to the account address ahead of the new season."

Glad you have had it confirmed though.
