As league cup ties are not part of the season ticket (and have not been for several years) not sure why you would have thought that. Maybe just me and I am using a Nokia mobile phone from 20 years ago but the purchasing a season ticket process and tickets for today and the Clyde tie has been very easy and the info given out has been clear.

The new system promises that all tickets will be held on the one account (with Fanbase). If the physical card has not been issued yet, obviously it cannot be used before then. It's all very well to preach the advantages of keeping everything on one account, but if the only access is an app, there are limitations and extra hurdles for some (not to mention limiting access to one person, unlike the freedom to pass a card on to someone else) - and we're paying to use the card for ALL games rather than the ones chosen by the club.

Can you point out to me the clear info that tells disabled and carers how to buy their tickets ?

No because it is not there which is a mistake for this game. Whether that means everything is wrong is another matter but to be honest at this point my concern is people buying theirs to help support the manager's efforts in building his squad.

Fully understand your view FT, but it does not deny that LJ has a legitimate, if exceptional, concern that someone in the club should take responsibility to address.

IT so-called 'solutions' are frankly a pain in the arse because they are in place for the convenience of the business and not the customer. By definition they have in-built inflexibility that cannot cope with unusual/irregular circumstances, as LJ's case exposes.

Over to the club to offer an acceptable solution in this case............

Surely the best way would be to do it the old fashioned way. Phone the club, speak to a person, tell them what you want in the way of tickets and go collect them before the game. If it's for a season ticket get the physical ticket and use that.

Correct - the club not me!

Home fans can also purchase tickets by phoning 0141 579 1971 or by visiting the Firhill Road Executive Offices during office hours.

I genuinely hope LJ gets this and any ticketing issues sorted but I am not Fanbase or PTFC just a guy trying to remind people about season tickets so that will be my only involvement in this tread moving forward.

Me too. And by not making it easy for everyone and especially not putting barriers in the way that would help. Rather than just brush me off, you should try putting some pressure on PTFC to get the change made. I have been complaining about this since ST’s went on sale.

I think that there is a lot of confusion around the difference between season tickets, which are valid for home league games only, and buying tickets for home or away games which are not included in the season ticket.

It has been quite a few seasons since there was the ability to electronically add additional home games to the season ticket and from what I remember this never worked well when it was available. The current card is only valid for games which are included on the season ticket. It cannot be used for cup or play-off games. Also, the season ticket has never been free to pass to anyone to use. Even when you received a book of paper tickets it was stated on this that they were for the sole use of the person named on the ticket.

The ability to purchase away tickets through the app is possible because several clubs are using Fanbase as their ticketing system. Previously if you wanted to buy away tickets on-line you needed to register with the away club's ticketing system. So things in that respect are simpler.

Buying away tickets on-line has nothing to do with PTFC. If disabled/carer tickets are not available through the app that is the responsibility of the away club. Maybe they don't offer them.

The physical ticket offers an additional metheod of entry to Firhill and following  the technological events of the weekend, this is maybe a sensible safeguard for fans to take out.

There is also the option of buying both season tickets and non season-ticket, tickets by phoning or going to the office in person and purchasing a paper ticket.

People seem to be wanting some changes made to the ticket purchasing system but no-one is actually saying what they would like to see changed.

It's not clear what changes you want made. Have you communicated to the club what these changes are?

I have. I have also spoken to Fanbase who tell me it was the club’s decision not to have disabled and carer tickets available on the app. Now, I can’t say that for sure, as I am just piggy in the middle. Now, it’s a dodgy line to be treading if the only type of ticket you can’t buy on the app is a disabled and carer ticket, don’t you think, whoever is responsible for it ?

While it was good to receive my physical card and it was nicely packaged the card itself seems rather flimsy.

Seems to be made out of some kind of cardboard/ paper hybrid. I assume for some kind of environmental consideration but I can't see it lasting too long compared to previous versions.

From what I gathered from this thread you have already bought your season tickets. I also saw when I bought my (concession) ticket on the app for the Clyde game that one of the options was for disabled/carer tickets. I didn't click on that link, so are you saying that it does not work?

Yes. There is no option for disabled and carer. A disabled person without a carer can just buy a concession ticket.

Can’t see any option for disabled and carer?

On a slightly different issue...has anyone who bought a physical ST through the club (ie, nothing to do with Fanbase) received their ticket yet? Who is sending them out? The club, or a third party?

I went up to the office a couple of weeks ago to pay for season ticket. I explained i don't have a smartphone and was told all physical tickets were being sent out by Fanbase and should be received by end of this month. I also got my tickets for our 2 home league cup games, they printed these of for me because i don't have a smartphone. I am also still awaiting my physical s/t.

On the link to the Morton game, the previous step to this does say disabled supporter + carer but it doesn't allow you to buy one.

Mine arrived today, with a bit of help from the postman. Name and street were correct on the label, but the postman had to choose between a range of house numbers, 229-259! Presumably a bit of local knowledge helped him find the right number, in the middle of the range. Hope postmen elsewhere are equally efficient.

@Lenziejag I bought a concession/disabled season ticket via the app.  I have 2 tickets available to me. My card and carer.

A few days ago I received a physical carers ticket in post I was not expecting.

The system works.

I assume that was a renewal and great that can be done. Still not sure that both should be sent to the one account, though. I am in conversation with the club about my concerns.
