Given that Morton might have made provision for the game with regard to hospitality, stewarding etc. then it might have been in their best financial interest to have the game played. Β Just think potentially a midweek game at Cappielow now beckons!!
Having said that the pitch should not the sole consideration in these circumstances - safety of spectators inside and outside the ground as well as how they get to the game should also play a part but seldom seems to.

A big Happy birthday to our captain and top goal scorer Brian Graham 37 today.. he would have been on fire πŸ”₯ at Cappilow today...

It’s only fair his birthday gets postponed also and rescheduled for new date coz as you say he would have been up for the cup today.

On The Sunday Show today, Martin Geissler interviewing Fiona Hyslop ( Scottish transport secretary) about storm Bert said ' virtually every football match in Scotland went ahead yesterday'. No Martin every Premier league game went ahead, but in the other leagues virtually every game was postponed. So since you like everybody you interview to be spot on with their answers, have this for your factually wrong comment.Β :red_card:

Without going too far down the political road, BBC Scotland's politics reporting is as biased as its leanings towards the old firm.

If there had been any kind of transport tragedy involving football fans Geissler (or at least the BBC) would have been the first to ask her why on earth weren't football matches cancelled in view of the storm.Β

Spot on. For sometime now the BBC has leaned toward reporting only negatively on Scottish Politics and Scottish life in general. As far as BBC in concerned and contrary to polls, 'Independence' doesn't exist!

If anyone believes the police investigation into the SNP is genuine I suggest they seek counselling.

That's enough of the digression. I will focus on football - up the Jags.

All tickets purchased for today's postponed match against Partick Thistle will remain valid for the re-arranged date. Ticket refunds are available, if you would like to request a refund please contact [email protected].

I got my refund request confirmed today as I'll unlikely be able to make the rearranged fixture if it is midweek.

With both ourselves and Morton out of the Scottish Cup it will hopefully see the postponed fixture rearranged for the next round on Saturday 18th January.

Don't disagree and it does make sense. There is down side in so much as more Jags fans will attend. That in turn means more Jags fans for Morton to treat as shit.Β
