Given the forecast, I’d be somewhat surprised if tomorrow’s game is called off. Like others, I’d definitely expect any pitch inspection to be carried out ASAP, to minimise any inconvenience to both sets of fans? Then I remember we’re talking about Scotland and then I remember that the convenience of supporters, has never been a big priority. Particularly, if they don’t happen to support one of two other Glasgow football teams.

Pretty sure the game will be on. Planning a visit to the stand though, with a good few layers on.

Interested to see if there will be a couple of changes in line up, given short turnaround in between games. Probably not. Perhaps just Megwa in for Sayers?Β

Hope not.Β  I'd prefer Megwa for Crawford, with Turner moving to midfield.

I also hope not. I would rather he persist with Sayers but think he'll go with Megwa LB.

Can't see him dropping Crawford, especially given it's Morton.

Not sure if BBC weather is any more reliable than BBC football reporting. However, if it is to be believed, it would indicate that the severe winds will moderate around 9am, and then the weather moves progressively to more sunshine and less rain until mid-afternoon does not look too bad. Therefore outdoor spectating at the Wee Dublin End may be bearable (preferable in my book to squashing into the cramped stand). Whether the pitch will have stood up to the battering it will have received may be a different matter.

If the game goes ahead, expect aerial bombardment times 10. Maybe a case for 3 centre backs (ie draft in McBeth) to keep heading the ball away, and also meaning that Megwa and Turner have more protection. However, that might leave us a bit short going forward.

Whatever we do, it is going to be a battle.

Would normally go to this game, but not mad enough to stand out in conditions like this. Something for TJF/club to call out Morton on re decent facilities for fans on days like today? Long shot I know but shouldn't be.Β

Completely agree. Expecting fans to stand out in this weather ( and pay good money) is scandalous.

Totally understand all views expressed. Having bought my ticket before the game when initially scheduled, I will be heading off into the monsoon, wearing my winter walking gear. If the game is to go ahead (and no official doubts have been raised, nor has there been mention of a pitch inspection, which I find surprising), I would not want the team to go unsupported.

I feel like Captain Oates stepping out of the tent and saying "Goodbye. I may be gone some time" or words to that effect.Β

I cannot imagine how the players can be expected to produce any sort of decent football. It is all a bit crazy!

So the game is on with no inspections.

is it time for squad rotation ?

Megwa and Sayers at full backs. Turner and McBeth behind Smith, Crawford n Lawless. Ablade up top.Β

Surely it’s not going to be same starting 11.Β

I expect it will be. Sayers or Megwa probably the only debate, and possibly McBeth coming in somewhere.
