jagfox
Happy New Year and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025 to all Jags fans. Dunfermline are our first foots as we kickoff the New Year. Disappointing result on Hogmanay and we need to bounce back with a win on Saturday. We face a Pars team without a manager but may have appointed Tidser by kick-off. Either way they will be more attacking than recent, previous visits now McPake is away. They had a ballsy performance on Friday against Falkirk coming from behind 3 times to grab a draw. They still seemed to have issues up front and can be caught at the back. Hopefully we can exploit these deficiencies and get another home win. Got hospitality on Saturday which will mean a good day anyway but a Jags win will make it even better.
lady-isobel-barnett
First "must win" game of the year? Also in hospitality and hoping for at very least a gutsy performance. Thinking along the lines that we should win this one, but no matter how good it's been, we shouldn't be exposing our defence as often as against QP last week. As a side issue and assuming they both play, it'll be interesting to compare Ngwenya and Sayers.
Dick Dastardly
The gaffer doesn’t like changing the starting 11 unless he has to, so expect the same again. We are not playing well, but have a solid defence, so I am expecting a dull 0-0 or 1-1 draw to start the year.
elevenone
In hospitality too and looking forward to it. If fully fit would start with Megwa and move Turner back to his natural role. Dunfermline will bring a decent crowd and be out to impress new or potential gaffer so any win no matter how badly we play will do.
JeanieD
If Dunfermline play the same way they played when they went goals behind against Falkirk last week then it will be another tight game - new manager or not.
partickthedog
Another one in hospitality. Maybe we should wear large forum name badges so that we can say "Hello" to each other. Agreeing with elevenone that Megwa should come back in at right back with Turner in central midfield and Crawford on the bench.
Jaggernaut
Drunk as a skunk here, but the Morton result shows how inept we are at pushing forward andtodc phucing at irtanf ouytrgames home. This may be our downfall this season. Sure, we can play nicely, the slow build-up stuff that might twill allow us torget faidhrd challner. ETA: Hope everybody understood that! Will do, so I can put a face to the score (11-1). I think that I will be the oldest person at table 7 (the rest seem to be my kids and their friends).

Norgethistle
Just packing to catch my flight for this, I’ll be meeting and greeting those coming into hospitality and will pop round the tables to say hello. Should be a great day, just need 3 points too https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/partick-thistle-wearing-one-off-strips-in-this-saturdays-match-with-dunfermline-athletic/
Jaggernaut
Nice strip, that!
JeanieD
Perhaps time is confusing my old brain but my memory of the strip of that era was that the stripes were chubbier and the middle one at the front was red. Tomorrow’s replica is ok but a 4th strip? ……….isn’t that a bit unnecessary? In fairness they do say “reminiscent” of the Auld era strip so I am perhaps being churlish as regards detail!🤔🤒 Edited January 2 by JeanieD

The club didn’t release the top, the Jags Foundation did. The club and SPFL allowed us to wear it for this game where TJF have also taken full hospitality for 180 members. It is a nice gesture albeit I still think the strip isn’t quite of the Auld era.
lady-isobel-barnett
The fact there's no shirt sponsor helps give the top a certain 70s look.

Hospitality will be colourful
