Guest fredthecheesecloth
Rangers have old Sean Connery and Selic have Rod Stewart and Silly Connolly at their home games, its a pity we don't have any famous names at our home games, to attract media attention, are we that bad? Jk Rowling, Richard Branson, i would love to see them at Firhill Yes.
JAGZ1876
It's disgraceful the board haven't made a move on this, it's clear they're Jags fans. Massive opportunity missed and the board should hang their heads in shame. The wrong Jags i'm afraid, it's Largs Thistle they support. Jaggernaut
I heard he's a jag man I think he said that once in some interview, but nobody seems to have ever seen him at Firhill, and there is more than a mild suspicion that he is of the Govan persuasion.
Norgethistle
I think he said that once in some interview, but nobody seems to have ever seen him at Firhill, and there is more than a mild suspicion that he is of the Govan persuasion. Seen him at Firhill on 2 occasions with 2 kids, he was also pictured in the program once, he has mentioned in interviews that although he was brought up a rangers fan he feels firhill and thistle is more child/ family friendly

northernsoul
Was it not 'Cracker'? It was the film 'The 51st State'. Samuel L. Jackson wears a kilt in the film. That's all you need to know, load of pish.
Jaggernaut
Some interesting posts on this old thread regarding "are they or aren't they" Thistle supporters.... At least the issue has been cleared up for some of them! Johnny Beattie used to attend matches regularly. Almost 90 years old now; anybody seen him at Firhill of late? Lindau
Couple more in here, though must admit that I have never seen Tommy Duckworth at a Jags game, though I do like that scarf! http://www.appleberry.co.uk/partick-thistle-scarf/135 http://wiki-facts.com/notable-supporters-partick-thistle-f-c/
a f kincaid
Once saw Cliff Hanley and Robin Hall standing on the terracing roughly where the North Stand and the JHS meet, finishing off a bottle of champagne between them but generally a bit suspicious about all these so-called celebrity fan stories. Has anyone actually seen any of them at matches? Or is it just "fashionable" to say you support Thistle if you're in the media/film/TV etc ? Anyone remember Buster Bloodvessel? We're the real fans. Lindau
Yeah, I remember the stories about big Buster investing in the club.....think he just wanted a bit of publicity for an upcoming gig in Glasgow! http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/12203149.Reggae_could_be_a_hit_at_Firhill/ Edited October 24, 2015 by Lindau
Firhillista
The cult of Celebrity is just another marker on the road to hell. Thistle for the Workers!
BowenBoys
The Guardian, some time ago, asked readers for their suggestions for new words. This one pretty much sums up the cult of celebrity. Nonebrity. A person who is famous for no worthwhile reason.
