We've heard precious little on when the players who are injured are likely to return. I suspect the lack of updates indicates its not soon. Our defensive problems were there before we lost our injured players. We have only kept a clean sheet in 1 league game this season. So the question now becomes who do you trust with the January window to address the deficiencies in the squad and who do you trust to coach the players to defend better? A new manager needs a few weeks to get familiar with the squad and see what he can coach into a better shape. To me that means they need the 3 games in December and the only way McCall is the manager in December is if he wins against Arbroath and Kelty. stillresigned
As I thought when we entered this dam death cycle, easy as we seemed to enter it I honestly don’t think that we have the players,or more accurately the players with the requisite mentality to get us out of this position. I simply can’t see any reason whatsoever for optimism

Barney Rubble
The Manager's position...............is now untenable. His squad isn't what he bummed it up to be, even allowing for the bad luck that four key players are injured simultaneously. He is clearly unable to get a tune out of the ones that remain, as the persistent leaking of goals to set plays proves. Did Caldwell ever lose six in a row? Sorry Ian, but for all the genuine goodwill you have towards PTFC, your batteries have run dry, similar to Archie in 2017-18. The Board hung on too too long then due to sentiment - that mistake must not be repeated. Even if they’re out of contract at the end of the season, with a third of the way through this season that’s the equivalent of 2 years pay for one coach/manager 2. They saw him dig it out before towards the end of our stint in league one and so they owe him it 3. Best players are out but will return and so results will improve 4. January window for some horse (or cart horse exits) trading 5 finish in top 4 acceptable and in their eyes still possible, with 4th being deemed positive when we had key players out But two very big games coming up and if returning players don’t fix it then they can’t avoid it Just my guess…

Fawlty Towers
The manager has himself said "we must win" against Arbroath so I assume if we don't he will walk?
ChiThistle
Maybe a bonkers idea but….offer it to Dools on a “prove it” deal until end of season on the assumption that he, plus the return of key players, are enough to keep us up and contending? That way if we end up having to take some managerial retread, we at least will have tried some out-of-the-box thinking before arriving there. Don’t think it’s that much of a bonkers idea but can’t see Dools working with the present chairperson after everything that has happened before which she was 100% part of . Barney Rubble
The obvious candidate is being seriously overlooked here. Big Wull calls it every week, but is never quoted. Why? Jimmy McD
Just the type manager we need, somebody who could get rid our cuddly toy image once and for all, we have a team with no heart , passion, fight, gutless, leadership, .... nothing.. Garscube Road End 2
Any Thistle who thinks McCall can take us any further surely must see that he won't. He has been found out. He is not a good football manager.
sabbath
Simples. Just ask Queens Park for permission to speak to their manager. Or alternatively wait until the start of next season and ask for me, by that time I`ll be looking for a nice wee easy job and the chance to drink at the "jobs for the boys well"
