I’d love him and Squiddy to be involved when they hang up their boots

Sorry echoes too much of Gerry B and Derek W for me. Hopefully it's because Archie has left whilst we are a well established top flight club rather than been sacked, that makes it easier for the incumbent no matter who.

When was the last time Thistle sacked a manager. Must be over 10 years

Ian McColl resigned; Jackie McNamarra left for Dundee Utd

Why? Didn’t Archie do the same?

Alan Archibald has so far breezed along on good will from a section of the Thistle support simply because he played in some previously successful Thistle sides. If he was an ex-Old Firm player he would already have been under a lot more pressure before now.

People need to remove themselves from this sentimentality when thinking about the way the team currently performs, and has previously performed under Alan Archibald.

Sorted that for you. We've delivered ourselves up to the tender mercies of business people. At one time, fans counted for more, but that ship has sailed.
