Jagsman
if this ever happens i was wondering on what most peoples opinions would be on a replacement i always thought Danny Lennon would have done a job for us although he has been tarnished after st.mirren
AlgarveJag
In Archie we trust and long may his reign continue. Not interested in any thought about anyone other than The Arch and the Shagmeister.
lady-isobel-barnett
Football Gossip Danny Devine (58) hotly tipped to take over the reins at Partick Thistle. As expected Sir Alan Archibald (72) will step down from his managerial duties at the Qatar Airways Maryhill Astrodome to spend more time with his great grand children. Metz
I’d love him and Squiddy to be involved when they hang up their boots Sorry echoes too much of Gerry B and Derek W for me. Hopefully it's because Archie has left whilst we are a well established top flight club rather than been sacked, that makes it easier for the incumbent no matter who. sandy
Craigan is a good shout, as a ‘bridge’ (sorry) to Erskine & Doolan. Alesys saw wee Pat Nevin as a potential Jags man, but I guess that ship sailed a while ago.

When was the last time Thistle sacked a manager. Must be over 10 years Ian McColl resigned; Jackie McNamarra left for Dundee Utd

Fearchar
As long as the board is doing its job, the matter will have been considered. After all, all kinds of things might lead to someone leaving a job - not just the predictable.

Barney Rubble
Today was unacceptable. That was one too very very far. Supported Archie throughout some dodgy stuff when we've had rotten starts and other difficulties. Sorry cannot cover up for that one today.
milhouse
Alan Archibald has so far breezed along on good will from a section of the Thistle support simply because he played in some previously successful Thistle sides. If he was an ex-Old Firm player he would already have been under a lot more pressure before now. People need to remove themselves from this sentimentality when thinking about the way the team currently performs, and has previously performed under Alan Archibald.

We've delivered ourselves up to the tender mercies of business people. At one time, fans counted for more, but that ship has sailed.
