As I said I'm a member of all three. I have had no communication from PTFC Trust nor Jags Trust. If you look at their respective web pages there's nothing.

Was there not something way back about opting in to having contact details passed on to PTFC Trust ?

I received emails from TJF and PTFC Trust within minutes of each other.
I suppose if I am being churlish, I would say that each of the statements were blowing their own trumpets in a way, and in the spirit of togetherness they should have been the same emphasising just the positive for the club.

The TJF announcement is a big step forward and a substantially better place to be than where we were this time last year.

Given the significance of the moment I think its worth saying well done to the TJF and in particular to guys on this forum like @Woodstock Jag and @Norgethistle who have done their best to keep us up to date and move things forward. I've appreciated their time and patience in explaining the intricacies of what from the outside appears a complex process.

Apologies if I've missed any other forum members who have led on the TJF and who have helped drive this forward.

I note voting has now opened for next round of TJF Board Elections.  Initially I was confused as to how you can vote for all 4 in no order of preference then saw this…

“Each member can cast their vote for as many or as few candidates as they wish to endorse. The candidates will then be ranked based on the number of votes received. The lowest-ranked candidate will be elected for a maximum one-year term.

In the event of a tied vote affecting the elected terms of office, candidates will be separated by the drawing of lots.”

So was just wondering does that mean the lowest ranked candidate gets one year max and the other 3 longer and if so for how long?

Good luck to all 4.

That was my understanding mate.

A bit confusing with TJF elections going on as well.

Good luck to the candidates.

Normally we have three vacancies each year and a team of nine, with everyone serving a 3 year term, but staggered.

Because Sandy stood down in December there’s a vacancy for the “one year left” on his.

So the fourth placed candidate gets the “last year” of his 3 year term.

Saw this story...

Are members of the Jags Foundation "owners" of the football club in the same way as this? And if so, is there any reason why we shouldn't be doing international online marketing to attract new small-level "owners". Or does that defeat the purpose of "fan ownership"? And therefore something we wouldn't want.

Interested in thoughts. If I'm talking nonsense just tell me.

As Jaggernaut said on another thread, a bit like buying a plot on the moon. I doubt that any of these owners have any rights apart from holding a bit of paper.

A quick dig on this suggests that this is not at all straightforward.

The legal reality, based on the filings of the various companies associated with Caledonian Braves, is that Chris Ewing is the sole owner and director.

They did a WeFunder associated with a Delaware registered company, but the details of how these contributors in any sense become "owners" is not clear.

As far as I can see the only sense in which these people are "owners" is that Caledonian Braves launched an app and let them vote on what the Club crest should look like.

Put another way, I'd be very cautious of going down a road like this. I'm not saying it's a scam, but it's not clear that it's a robust set of foundations for fan control. When bringing in investment to a Club you want to make sure it's done on open and transparent terms, fully understood.
