Harrybriscoe
Only 5 behind St Johnstone and Hearts looking catchable. Go get 'em Jags!

Big Col
Another clean sheet, another 3 points. Marvellous!! And with the run that Hearts are on we must have a realistic chance of catching them. Onwards to Pittodrie.
JAG1970
5 wins and 2 draws in last 9 league games. No goals conceded in last 3 (or 4 including cup game at Perth). Joint third best goals conceded in the league. Impressive!
Dick Dastardly
Great news for us. Only six points off 4th place. or in other words .. closer to 4th than we are to 11th. Edited March 1, 2017 by Dick Dastardly
Mr Bunny
Not only a great victory but as it turned out from other results a vital one to prevent us being pulled back. We are now 10 points clear of Inverness and 8 points clear of Motherwell and Hamilton. Killie play Motherwell on Saturday - a draw would be good for us. Next big league game is v Inverness: we need to win that one to keep our momentum going and keeping them down there. If we can do that then we should be safe and have a good chance of staying top six this season. It feels so close I can't bear to look beyond the Inverness game. Aberdeenjag
Do you think Derek McInnes just checked tonight's scores, saw ours and thought, "oh shit"?
Jag
or in other words .. as close to 4th as we are to 11th. Sorry, misread that in the excitement! Yes. Can't see those teams catching us now. Time to look up!!!_ Edited March 1, 2017 by Jag

Aberdeenjag
Fake Thistle's Foran on Sportsound sounds suicidal....I though he said last week that they had hit form at just the right time? I'd rather see Accies stay up than that lot.
Vaila Street
Not good news for us. We are getting good results but not getting as much benefit from them as we ought to. It means we will still have no space to relax ... still at least we are better off than a few clubs below us ... still nervous about us holding out v Dundee as we really need a win now. Usual pitifully negative angle. I think Hearts and St. Johnstone are certainly catchable after tonight.
thebiglemon
Can only say a massive well done to the team, management and fans that travelled. Great set of results. (see what I did) Can we get a substantial home gate for ICT please?
SussexJag
What a fkn result that is. No words sufficient for the team and Archie.

Ok, I'm going to say it: we will not finish in the bottom 2 this season. It simply will not happen. We are too good, and on great form. The teams below us are not as good, and most are on bad runs of form. I actually expect us to catch Hearts, who are in freefall.
allyo
Top six battle now looks like three teams out of six, rather than one out of seven. I can't see Motherwell, Inverness or Hamilton catching us before the split, while Hearts and St Johnstone are now in our sights.
Auld Jag
From not being able to score,we are now scoring and getting clean sheets as well. What a turnaround.Well done to everybody at Thistle.
Aberdeenjag
We should all be very happy that this is a very good Partick Thistle team, with damn good management and an outstanding corporate structure. Cant remember the last time things were so good. Winning promotion to the premier league was brilliant, but the trajectory of the club since then has continued to be ever upwards. The only thing missing is bigger crowds...lets win the Scottish cup and see if we can drag a few extra bodies to Firhill chasing a successful team. If nothing else, just beat Aberdeen on Sunday.......mon Jags, we can do it.
stillresigned
Splendid team performance, particularly defensively t No reason why we can't go to Pittodrie and get a result particularly with a noisy travelling support behind us! ironfist
Great result - a bit st johnstonesque in the second half but defence was magnificent. Liam Lindsay is turning into a real quality centre half but the whole team worked hard. No better time for the next game to be a Scottish cup quarter final. gianlucatoni
magic result an avalanche of clean sheets (well done to the defence/keeper) ... fourth place in plain sight ... and 2 games away from the Scottish Cup Final with a trip to Europe for just being the finalists! 'Mon the Jags!
douglas clark
It is the clean sheets that this team seems to be built on. Quite an amazing turn-around from earlier in the season. I am, nearly, looking forward to the Aberdeen game. Edited March 1, 2017 by douglas clark
Blackpool Jags
I can't add to anything already said above, except that I'm so burstin with pride that my chist could erupt all over the livin room at any time. I just love Thistle so much I could easily get lifted for the way I'm celebrating right now. Apologies for the swally-affected post. Cannae help maself at the moment.
Gingerjag
Ok this is getting silly with 4 wins and clean sheets in a row! We are bordering on the unthinkable now. Top 6? Top 4? Nah lets face it our gut says we will still somehow get sucked right back into the relegation battle.
