mulguy jag
For the last 2 seasons, the favourites for relegation have been us and Hamilton. Perhaps being favourites for relegation is not a bad thing. Still favourites along with Hamilton according to some bookies.
allyo
Really?! Just looked. You can get 5/1 on Thistle beating Hibs on the first day. That's crazy! Edited June 30, 2017 by allyo
Weebaw1
Brophy looked a great player any time I saw him. Archie knows what goin on. He probably knows why Brophy didn't make it at Accies. If we sign him we would need to trust Archie to improve the player and set out a career path. On paper, he looks like the player we need if he has the right attitude. lithgaejag
Not to convinced about Brophy there is obviously a reason he has been released by accies. I think we can do better than him
allyo
Are we expecting to keep Aziz if we sign another striker? Because purely on numbers I don't see that we need one. Maybe the solution is to improve the younger strikers that we already have.
MonehJags
We definitely need another striker. I doubt Azeez's finishing could get any worse though. We need cover regardless in that area to at least provide competition

lady-isobel-barnett
Tremendous news. I thought signing Keown more wishful thinking than anywhere near a reality. Really nice lad into the bargain who took time out to have a word after the Dons game both apologising for the performance and also thanking the fans. He did say he'd like to return but i thought at the time he was just being polite. As said after Liam left it was at least good that business was done early. Getting Keown tied up early is great as well. I reckon we'll make one other signing at 1st team level, or a couple if someone goes out on loan. Our development squad is rather on the young side so we could also be bringing in a one or two older kids who could double as squad players? Wonder if we've just broken our transfer record today? Mr Bunny
The great thing is we are bringing in a "new" player who has played regularly in the team for several months. In the past it took a month or so for new guys to settle in. With this signing and Devine still with us for a year, we can now put out a back four of players who have played regularly together. (And we have Barton as back up in case it takes longer than we hoped for a Lindsay replacement - Keown is a Keown replacement). This is just as - perhaps even more important than - getting in good replacements. It also gives us an advantage over some of the other clubs who are bringing in new players (though only if we can get off to a good start). jaggy
Great signing which I never saw coming. I was hoping maybe for a season loan. Maybe the big man can find the net this season as well.
lithgaejag
Great signing! welcome back to firhill Niall. Anyone know the fee? just a fast striker that can assist dools and a cb needed now. Any more news on Azeez going to Lincoln or is that just wishful thinking
sick in the basin
He was absolutely Lincoln for most of last season to be fair!
elevenone
Ade will come good, I feel it in my bones. Still young. Fun side fact, Kris never once hit the net for Clyde in his early days and look at him now.
BowenBoys
Welcome back Niall. Officially a Jag. I'm very pleased about that. Well done Archie, Maxi and the crew.
MonehJags
Great news. He will be a better player than Lindsay in my opinion. Just need Lyle Taylor signed up now....
Jag
Really pleased about Keown signing and also really surprised. If anything I thought we would have maybe got him in on loan again. If he can improve with the ball at his feet, he can be a great player for us. I've never seen anyone as good in the air for their size, his timing is magnificent.
Jag
I think a left sided centre back and we're done. I can only see us bringing in a striker if Nisbet goes out on loan again or Azeez fails to impress by the end of August.
Big Col
Azeez had the whole season to impress and showed no sign of improving his finishing. Just like Pogba the season before. We desperately need someone in to replace him rather than pinning all our striking hopes on Doolan.
