Auld Jag
Now we have the double header against sevco out the road,we play Hearts.I know that not everybody agrees but imo we played quite good in the last 2 games and should go into this game with confidence.I take it Sammon will not be availiable but Erskine will be back. Jaggernaut
Are Hearts considered another of those teams with much greater resources so against whom many people don't really expect us to win? If so, then doesn't it start to look like there are only one or two teams in the league that we can realistically compete against?
Third Lanark
I wonder is Sammon can play? If he is on loan from Hearts they may have stipulated that he can't play against them
JAGSMAN1968
Nope, said in programme last night Erskine suspended for 2 games.
allyo
We need to look to beat Hearts at Firhill. But there is no denying it, Thistle as a club have to punch above their weight most weeks in this league. Fortunately I think this team can do that. Paulo
Suppose Hearts are a bit of an unknown quantity since the 'change' of manager. Don't think that'll stop us having a go at them though. 3 points and things start to look brighter.
West Ender
I think we can rattle the Hearts. I'm very positive even after last night. Remind me again...why is the kick off 4pm? Is there something else happening?
ChewinGumMacaroonBaaaz
Are Hearts considered another of those teams with much greater resources so against whom many people don't really expect us to win? If so, then doesn't it start to look like there are only one or two teams in the league that we can realistically compete against? Semantics. I don't expect us to beat anyone in the league. Maybe after a few months and we've seen how all the terms are performing you could start saying we are probable favourites or not in some games. I'd baulk at pointing the finger and scoffing at the chumps just yet. However, I firmly believe we can realistically beat anyone on the league, green old firm included, despite our prudent budget. We were one of only three teams to take points off the Glasgow east end Hibernian brotherhood last year and so far this year they've put 4 past Hearts, County and Accies while their famous "way" only got them a single goal against us. We showed in the last two games we're capable against the sticky fingered blue bhoys, lost to a late goal against the Sheep tamperin riggers, and stomped on St, perth in the cup before they bored their way to victory in the league. It's not the best start again. Results are all important, and they ain't good enough yet. But we are competing, punching above our weight. It's a 38 round bout, we're down on points but taken our blows reasonably well. Sitting in the corner, our cuts man gotta keep us tidy but he ain't too busy yet, we're hardly marked really. We know what we've got to do, throwin in the towel ain't an option. Maybe we're not title fighters but we're more than just sparring partners. We can hurt you ... and we will.

allyo
4pm has been decided so that our weekends can continue to be screwed up. Keeps us in our place. Now stop asking stupid questions.
MonehJags
Bannigan in for Erskine? We need to have more players in forward positions. Scully McGinn Keown Devine Turnbull Elliiot Banzo Spittal Lawless Storey Doolan Whats the latest with Gary 'sare knee' Fraser? Is he gong to come back from injury and be an influential figure? Is he the midfielder we are missing? Basically, is he going to be worth the wait?
Lambies Lost Doo
Hearts are going to be very physical under Levein. Lawless just gets bullied at times.

Knightswood Jag
Just to put it into perspective we drew with Sevco twice (in ordinary time) so we should have no fear from Hearts as they're still in a bit of mess from the 'laptop manager' era. javeajag
Hearts will have around 2000 ( already sold 1800 ) at the match in Saturday so should be a decent crowd
allyo
Hearts x 1 Aberdeen x 2 Celtic x 2 'Rangers' x 3 at Firhill since May. Must be great for the finances. Changed days. Would be nice to win once in a while though. Edited September 21, 2017 by allyo
jagfox
Another game, another different lineup. I'm not sure what formation we'll play let alone what the team will be. Hearts seem to have solidified side Levein has been officially in charge of team affairs at Tynecastle. If we can keep the ball better in midfield I think we've got a decent chance of three points today.
Garscube Road End
Depending on fitness. My team today. Cerny McGinn Turnbull Keown Devine Elliott Spittal Edwards Lawless Storey Doolan
sandy
Maybe Banzo to start, Edwards to come on fresh if our system isn't working
Big Col
Clean sheet, couple of goals, no injuries. Not too much to ask for is it? C'mon the Jags!
Stephen1876
Cerny has been 50/50 for three games now. Surely he must at least be approaching 55/

Barney Rubble
Lots of drop outs on the commentary today? Michael Max has clearly forgotten about Dean Brill at Inverness dropping the ball onto Sir Kris' foot 4 years ago. More importantly, let's keep this going Jags - these three points would make such a difference.
