U.K. and Scottish governments should be held to account for allowing these lilly livered luvvies to rule our lives.

The Vaccination does not stop people spreading Covid -so please stop talking rubbish - the vast majority of the population are vaccinated - so it either works or it doesnt - Governments are ruling our lives by reacting to every Headline - others simply because they are Hooked on the Power that Covid Brings - so we either get on with things and accept its not going away-  or start hiding under the Bed - to try and blame those not vaccinated is simply stupid

People have the right not to be vaccinated - if your vaccinated your protected from serious illness - so its not an issue even if you happen to Test Positive - as fir the latest version of Covid - like the drama of "Delta" which had zero impact -  it will be gone in a few weeks

Yeh, we've over 2000 ST holders. I hope the Club ask ST holders to apply for admission to each game. The uptake for each fixture will I reckon be nowhere near 2000. Would be in a normal season at this time of year. Will be even less demand with all that's going on.

I understand the 500 figure would include teams and staff so fan numbers would in reality be around 400 per game .As for the figure of 2000 I know over several season ticket holders who would not return until current wave is under control so would estimate a pool of around 1200-1300 ST holders .

Yes, I suspect if the club does some sort of ballot like they had suggested in past then any season ticket holders who wish to attend will probably get to one game.

As jordanhill jag points out it’s too simple to blame the unjabbed for this. I know plenty of people who have been triple jabbed and are getting it and will then be passing it on. Jabs stop you getting really sick. Other than that we have to get on with it. We can’t keep opening up, locking down , opening up, tier two, tier three, opening. It will kill people every year, just like flu. This culture of fear and scaremongering has to stop. What’s the point of being alive if you can’t actually live?

I would assume from previous posts by the club it will be home fans only and there will be a ballot of season ticket holders so 500 will get to game on 29th and presumably a different 500 on 2nd and same on 14th. How many season ticket holders are there?

It’s 500 in attendance, including both squads of players, coaching staff, officials, directors, match day team and press

Our beloved government stated 2 doses would sort everything, then vaccination passports (which were proven not to work) would sort everything, now a 3rd dose.

Vaccinations and passports do not stop the spread of this or any other virus, they over time blend with herd immunity to lower its strength as each mutation (due to harder to find a host) gets weaker

Folk are within their rights to decide what medical treatment they take, the same way as they decide diet, exercise and lifestyle.

What you are proposing is for governments to have yet even more control of your daily life, you obviously do not socialize with friends, travel or work as all of this now is under unscientific levels of control that defy logic.

Didn't realise we had  so many Doctors who are Thistle fans

You don’t need to be a doctor to determine that these restrictions make zero sense.

Dumbarton ground can be 23% full

Firhill can be 5% full

Tynecastle can be 2.5% full

Ibrox can be 1% full

Show me the rationale or scientific modeling  for that?

Exactly. For football grounds & seated venues it could have been a percentage of capacity.

I never saw any issues on Saturday and we were about 20% of capacity. Mind you we never seen much of anything on Saturday

They appear to be using rationale that involves travel to the game rather than number of people in the stands.

Either way, Covid has managed to prevent me from seeing Thistle twice in as many weeks.

Normality seems a distant fairy-tale.

And that was certainly the rationale previously. I'd feel safer going to a 23% full Dumbarton than say a 5% full Ibrox if both visits entailed using public transport.

More people will travel to Almondvale shopping center on Saturday than will attend the Livingston game, but Livi are cut to 500 and shopping center isn’t.

Simple way is shut every second row. And in each row that’s open have 2 seats between, staggering the start point as it moves up the stand.

Row A - Seats 1,4,7 and so on

Row B -CLOSED

Row C - Seats 2,5,8 and so on

Row D- CLOSED

Row E - Seats ,3,6,9 and so on

Row F -CLOSED

Row G -Seats 1,4,7 and so on

and repeat

That would give us a social distanced (over 1m apart) capacity of around 1500 over 2 stands

that's roughly what we did in the early season games. Tho' obviously not to the same attendance limit

Please! Get vaccinated. You might be in my vicinity as part of the 500.

I don’t want to socialise with you if you haven’t been vaccinated and you should not attend.

The anti vaxxers are having an affect on my life not any government!

Whether I’m vaccinated or not is my business, the vaccination protects the person that gets it, otherwise it’s not a vaccination.

Not taking this particular vaccination does not make you an anti-vaxxer but someone of free choice, what about flu-shot do you want to see those papers too, as flu also kills 10’s of thousands in UK every year, is highly contagious and air Bourne?  You really have swallowed the full propaganda message being driven in that non-vaccinated affect vaccinated which medically is impossible.

If 500 (less players, staff, press and officials) are all that’s in I’d be less likely to be in the same post code in a stadium of 10000 than your vicinity.

For the record I’ve had 2 doses which was my choice

I wasn't arguing in favour of the new rules. Was just pointing out the reasoning behind them.

I agree with your statement above around shopping and made the exact same one earlier to my Brother.

Being double jagged and boostered up, certainly hasn't had the desired effect for me when it comes to the 'promise' of freedom. It may be helping to save lives on the other hand, maybe even my own, so I'd still have chosen to take my medicine without the propaganda attached to it.

I suppose its easy to judge people in every situation if their particular way of seeing things or their actions are contrary to those of the majority.

Some people are trypanophobic (fear of needles), others have religious beliefs which don't allow such treatment and others just refuse to be vaccinated for whatever reason.

There are ways to deal with the fear of needles, religious reasons are more difficult to address but I have to admit the latter do cause me a problem.

I would simply ask those who refuse to be vaccinated and who fall into the latter category to think of their potential impact on  and consequences  of their position  for others. The impact of course could be a short or prolonged period of ill-health or in fact a fatality. In the latter case the impact, like the virus, multiplies, spreads to the  victims family and friends in terms of bereavement and the loss of a loved one.

That's a hell of a responsibility.

I can't find any evidence of any well-established religious faiths which are against vaccination.

There’s the additional effort of a personal deep clean having been at Ibrox.

I was in the car last night listening to the football radio phone-ins. Non-stop stream of the 2 arse cheeks fans moaning that they should be treated differently because they had bigger crowds or that it was so unfair that their hate fest on the 2nd January wouldn't be the same hate fest they all know and love without fans there.

Anyone else hear this and think they should just take their medicine?

Also the pandemic is not new, anyone who's glanced at the news over the last few weeks would have realised restrictions were likely. Why is no-one asking the SPFL what their plan was to cope?

The SPFL could have quite easily went to the Government and said let us know when you want a shut down/reduced capacities and we'll just reschedule games?

For the SPFL that would just be moving their winter shutdown. For lower league clubs you would be looking at 3 rescheduled games. League 1 and 2 showed last year that and more than is completly possible

2 years ago we knew Covid waves were going to follow and the impact would be in winter. Why have the SPFL not at least looked at moving to Summer football ?

What do Ian Maxwell and Neil Doncaster do nowadays?

Being vaccinated reduces the risk of catching Covid and therefore reduces the risk of spreading Covid. It really is that simple. I genuinely do not understand why you wouldn’t get vaccinated.
