Thistle v Ayr Match Thread

Recommended Posts

No match thread up yet and just minded I started the previous 2 this season v Ayr hence why everyone has been holding off :D.

Would love another 4-0 but given Ayr fans saying they have much improved would settle for 3-0 :happy2:.  Mcginty to start please.

According to the "Glasgow World" site, Tunji Akinola is expected to "miss out". That's a blow.

It would be nice to finish the year with a victory.

Well we have ended the year with a Victory!  Have a good New Year's break, everyone!!

No rain since lunchtime and the games off. Very doubtful Sunday will happen either

Wonder how ‘cute’ we have been in our efforts to get game pitch playable and maybe again on Sunday.  Re-arranged fixture(s) could be back to normal crowds.

Exactly this. Doubtful we have watered the pitch but bet we have done nothing to try and get it on

If in fact we did use a bit of latitude, I'll still except tonight's "pitch unplayable".  Admittedly I've got a vested interest in the Morton game, but even at that, being "cute" with a game scheduled for 2nd Jan shouldn't be on. Call it off early if that's the plan, Don't muck about with 400+'s plans over New Year.

eta meant Morton rather than Killie.

Given how torrential a downpour we had this morning, only surprise on how relatively late on the postponement was.

Thought the club would have called in someone earlier on in the day to inspect it but maybe this is outwith our control and up to officials being available / prepared to have a look earlier on etc.

Game vs Raith goes ahead yet no-one can see anything, then there's a bit of rain and the games off! McCall out! Had the fridge stocked full of Perlenbacher aswell but ah well.

Is there any chance the two head bummers running the SPFL, the President (what's his name - Mc something) and Doncaster will call the leagues with us sitting in 5th, 2 points behind 3rd & 4th but with a game in hand!

Might have been better to have tried really hard to play tonight's game!

Don't want history repeating do we?

BTW agree Killie v Morton result was a good one for us but being greedy a Morton win would have been better.
