There's around another half-dozen first-team squad players that I'd be happy to see released with immediate effect.
laukat
Looks like the loan window is closed and we still have everyone at Firhill. I'm not sure that's a great thing for the development of Mackenzie and Lyon or in trying to keep a large squad happy. In general there appears to be a lack of activity for loans and more players available as free agents that could do a job. Which makes me wonder if something has changed across Scottish Football that is causing the change in behaviour?
jagfox
Three months until January so there will be opportunities to go out then for anyone with skelves in their backsides.
lady-isobel-barnett
I know little re loans. Does that mean the window's shut for short term loans as well? Like others I feel we have rather too large a squad. Even with injuries we have players not getting playing time. Others more on the periphery lucky to make the match day squad. Into the bargain, and not meant as a criticism, Doolan tends not to vary starting line ups. Competition for places is important but so is players getting game time. Auld Jag
Wasiri Williams has left the club by mutual consent. Best of luck to him, both on and off the park.

Probably in a minority, thought there was a player in there , with 2 ageing centres halves in Ashcroft and Aero surely we could have developed him to replace them

Wasiri is a Lovely guy who I think every single supporter wishes well Crazy to give him a 2 year deal which I’ve always saidwhen he had no experience of Scottish football. Likewise I think the same about given Sayers a 3 year deal too. Not sure why Doolan has chucked such lengthy deals at these players with no experience of Scottish football- while it could work as shown with Wasiri there’s as much chance of it not working. Surely would have been best to offer 1 year deal with option to extend if they adapt okay.

Nice guy and hope he finds success elsewhere

Yes we need cover but 3 years seems excessive.

Based on timing, I suspect that he wasn’t the first choice, so maybe a few had turned down 1 year deals and it was 3 years or miss out again. In terms of centre halves I would play Wasiri ahead of Lee Ashcroft every day of the week Williams was quicker , liked a tackle and could also play out from the back . We all see things differently

JAG1970
Be surprised if we sign Adeloye for two reasons. First it will be player number 28 ? so far this season which is remarkable both in terms of squad size and an ever growing player budget (and a bigger financial loss for the season). Secondly, he’s not match fit and isn’t going to be starting ahead of Graham. Even if Doolan decides to play two up front then obviously it will take him time to bed in, but it’s the creation of chances that’s our problem and playing both up front would I think make that problem worse because we would be sacrificing someone else to accommodate him. The upside is he is a good player when fit, something a little different from Graham and valuable back up. It would also enable Diack to go out on loan. I’d be very happy if he signed but I’d be surprised by how much this board is gambling financially on promotion and where they draw the line.
