Does it never occur to you that supporting your team through a difficult period might be the better approach? As for seeing what is in front of you - you must have great vision from Aberdeen . History tells us that I was vindicated by calling for them to go. The writing was on the wall for them as it is with Doolan. If you are happy to accept the mediocrity, the results, the 10 point gap from the leaders after only 7 games then go for it. As for vision. I obviously have better vision than you. But maybe your Doolan blinkers hinder that sight.
ChiThistle
6 games where we’ve scored 0 or 1 goal isn’t gonna cut it. You’d have to think that demoralizes the defence too.

JAG1970
After 11 competitive matches the fundamentals of this team still aren’t right. That starting formation like last week needs binned, it sucks the life out of us. Middle to front we are near anonymous again until he changed it but overall (like last week) it was another game we never ever looked like winning, and given a completely wasted first 60 mins or so we probably deserved the defeat. October is a big month with 3 tough home games and Doolan needs to find something more effective than what he’s dished up so far this season. People are not going to be kidded by what we’re seeing. If he can’t fix this in October then we’re going backwards and he would need to go.
Derby Jag
I'm done with the way we're performing. He's got to go I'll always love him and he had a great season and a half but this is dreadful

No idea why we don't just go 4 at the back with macbeth turner centre mid and take it from there.. makes no sense that we've suddenly changed to this '3-5-2' now we've got 2 decent centre backs freeing up macbeth to move back into midfield and a good right back. Doolan needs to start learning a bit faster 3 games with that formation and its not looked good
Thistle88
Sorry but that’s it done. Go Dools before you tarnish your status.

They will wait as long as they want. The club is now about a select few people and groups as well as their inner circles and how they can promote themselves and interests. Performance on the pitch is secondary.
javeajag
The performance last week was poor, no improvement this week and now scoring less than 1 goal a game. We had a great chance today to close the gap at the top with Falkirk losing. the formation isn’t right, the midfield has never been right and creativity has gone. It’s not clear Dolan knows what’s wrong never mind what knowing how to fix it. the peg is very loose
Thistle88
If they don’t sack him now we are going absolutely no where. It’s only going to get worse. Tell me one signing Doolans made that has impressed you this season? We are relying on McCalls signings to even be close to staying in this division now. we are rotten ! Fawlty Towers
I said in another thread that managers should get the first quarter and stand by that so a big next 2 games for Doolan. I would make a couple of observations before that though. I thinkl we have a decent a squad for this level (McKay being injured was a big blow) but even in victory we have not been great so something not quite right in how they are being deployed which it is the manager's job to fix. Also, the Board have made it clear that we want/need promotion and have put the money in so if they think that we can still achieve promotion based on the squad then it only leaves changing the manager as an option. When it came out we are budgeting to lose £280,000 as we had pushed the boat out I said to someone who sits with me at games that we should have gone full out and budgeted for a Dundee style loss by buying up all the best players that other teams went for but we went for the still (for us) big loss but not doing enough to guarantee promotion. laukat
That was a horrific watch. 3 centre-backs who launch the ball with a goalkeeper who also smacks it as far as the eye can see does not make for good football. Manager doesn't know what formation he wants to play or who his best 11 are. Players don't know what's being asked of them. I'm not sure what happened with Ablade. I hope he was taken off due to an injury and not because the manager made a mistake in the formation as that would do nothing for team morale. There are no excuses. Doolan has been well backed, they are all players he has signed or given a contract. Time for him to go
Jimmy McD
I would suggest that Dools cancels training this week, bring the players in and let them play dominoes, darts, cards, because what ever they are doing on the training pitch Monday to Friday is not working, that performance today was pathetic, if he comes out and says we will take the positives out of the game, I will know he has lost it..
jaggymct
Love Doolan but it’s been a terrible start and he needs to go. Back to his academy job even. Need to go for Rhys McCabe or Ian Murray
westertonjagfan
That was £25 each for me and my son today. Train fare, pies etc. Ridiculous amount of money to watch that nonsense today.
Third Lanark
My fear is if we leave it too late we end up missing out on a decent manager like Ian Murray or Rhys McCabe which gives the board an easy excuse to appoint Brian Graham. I have no problem with someone like Murray or McCabe appointing Graham as their assistant manager which would be their sole choice- no problem if they chose not to do so. But Graham shoehorned in as manager which I can forsee happening is completely unacceptable as far as I am concerned and shows we have learned nothing

belfastjag
I can't work Harry Milne out. Sometimes I think he's the best player in this division, and sometimes it looks like he's bored and wishes he was somewhere else. Anyway that was woeful. My pie was nice. I dont think we can really pin too much on Dan McKay being out. While he has looked good he has not been brilliant and the one thing i remember most about his contribution this season is missing a complete open goal against Motherwell when it was harder to miss than score. He also does have a bit of an injury history with other clubs. Not ruling out that he might not be a brilliant player for us but i think someone like Lawless has been a far far bigger loss than McKay

Milne is get asked to play 3 different positions today. Left midfield when we were play 3-4-1-2, left wingback when we went to 3-5-2 and then leftback when we went back to 4-2-3-1. Just for extra confusion the manager also went for a 4-4-2 when he threw on Diack at then end. If I was Milne I would be confused as f@ck and wish I reckon most of the team wish they were somewhere else as they have zero idea of what the plan is
