I take it "verti-draining" is the technical name for what golfers call "tining". I know golf clubs don't tine their greens principally for drainage reasons but from memory it certainly helps clear surface water. Here's hoping it does the trick. But tine is always associated with fog. Could be another Raith Rovers no one can see a thing type game.

Golf clubs regularly verti-drain their greens to aereate and de-compact the soil, and to promote better drainage. Is it more scientific than a mechanical pitchfork? BowenBoys
BB the youngest has just had his game postponed. Glasgow Green unplayable. What chance for our farmland...?
East Kent Jag II
My hope for today is that the referee, unlike McLean last season, applies the rules of football, and not the Marquess of Queensbury Rules. To say that Dundee United players punch above their weight isn't intended as a compliment.

elevenone
The pitch could be a leveller today and make it a good old fashioned cup tie. There is usually a shock in the cup and there are a few potentials, Arbroath and Kelty Hearts spring to mind but lets hope it's us. Peterhead or Dundee in last 8 please. a f kincaid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRDMR6c9aAY Go to a minute in to see the bowling green! Hopefully the work on the pitch was after Tuesday night's match. Edited February 12, 2022 by a f kincaid

sandy
Disappointed not to get through; but at least it leaves us clear for the league
CotterJag
As bad a result was Kilmarnock getting a late winner. Scotland lose the rugby, Killie win and we lose. Most of my worst days as a Jags fan seem to involve Dundee Utd in some way. Erase from memory and win this league. I wonder who Rangers will get next, unless Annan do the unthinkable. Arbroath, Peterhead or Dundee?
dl1971
We played very well today. Unlucky in many respects. Probably just lack that cutting edge. Crawford was a stand out today.

Yellow & Redneck
United were there for the taking, and there is no point in sugar-coating it. Our cup record against teams in the division above us is an absolute embarrassment. Caldwell's lot against Ross County is the last time I remember putting out a higher placed team. Gary Peebles Tackle
Onwards & hopefully upwards. Played well, game time for some squad players. Pitch will do well to recover before the middle of March.
