Why Clyde? Their fans and club hate us with a passion- why should we help them out.  You have mentioned Clyde before

Stirling I agree with, why not the likes of Stenhousemuir, Edinburgh city - teams relatively local who don’t hate us with every fibre of their being

Mainly for geographic reasons. Partially reflects that Clyde are pretty much the lowest end of league 2, struggling and probably more likely to want this sort of arrangement.

More than happy if that was any other league 2 teams or perhaps Dumbarton who look like they are headed into league 1 next year

Anyone but Clyde for me for their attitude towards us from everyone at that club.

But agree with your idea behind it and would be more than happy for it to happen with any club except the bully wee

Don't think you need worry about sending players to Clyde. Far more likely they'll be reducing the size of their squad.

I can see the logic of sending several of our younger squad members out on loan. However, the rather large number of injuries piling up may mean that we have to keep more at Firhill than otherwise we might have intended to.

Zander is perhaps the obvious choice, given that he is used to slotting in where required. Having said that I do recognise the counter-argument that he needs to have a consistent spell of regular game time in his preferred position, which he is likely only to get on loan!

Chatting to a few Accies players at my gym this morning, interesting comment from big McGinty. I said to Ollie Shaw I’d like to see him at Firhill, McGinty said we couldn’t afford his wages. If true how can Accies afford him and I wonder what he gets? Interesting.

Wealthy Turkish owner/investor.

No idea.

i heard it was Shaw could not be guaranteed much game time with us, with Brian Graham understandably being the main starter especially after his form last season

I know Shaw got a hattrick the other week but he has a tendency to score mostly against weaker teams. Given his other qualities Graham may well have kept Shaw out the starting XI even if we could afford his wages.

I wonder what we pay players, generally? And what Shaw is on for his 2 extra league goals so far this season ?

Are there any rumours? Are any loan deals ending?

We appear to be bloated. Lyon,Diack,Smith,McKenzie,McCready could all do with going out on loan.

We have cover in wing, full back and centre back but need a striker and defensive mid.

Once Stanway, Megwa, Mitchell and McKay are back and Stevie is up and running I don’t think we need the above players.

Stanway is brutal

My understanding was we offered him a decent deal but Accies blew us out of the water on not only wage but also the length of deal.

Don't necessarily agree that we couldn't afford his wages, more like we were unwilling to give him what he was offered elsewhere. Accies probably gave him a larger share of their budget as he'd be a starter and one of their top players whereas here he'd be fighting Graham for a place.

Could it be possible McGinty's comment was a wind-up?

I would like to get Docherty back at Firhill but doubt this will happen. Is his position at Dundee Utd under threat?

I noticed he hasn't featured in the team or on the bench for a few weeks now but I assumed he was injured!

Can someone please enlighten me?

On the wider note of signing strikers, eg Ollie Shaw and I also believe George Oakley. This is not the first time I have read that Graham's 'form and goalscoring success' actually represents a barrier to us making such signings.

I understand the underpinning rationale behind this argument but I also think the formation we play is also a contributing factor.

I have advocated in the past that we should play to a 442 or 433 formation. I suggest this because the current formation isn't working and especially agsint the better sides!

I would play Aɓlade or if we can get a fit Adeloye or an enthusiastic Diack up front with Graham. These traditional formations would mean we can, barring injury, play 3 recognised midfielders - Turner + 2 players yet to be signed.
